On March 19, 2006, DEBORAH M. (nee Mc Clellan). Beloved wife of Stephen P. Smith; loving daughter of Charles E. Mc Clellan, Sr., and his wife Rosemary (nee Stedding); loving sister of Charles E. Mc Clellan, Jr.; cherished grandaughter of Mary Stedding. Also survived by many loving family members. Funeral Services will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue, on Thursday, 1pm. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. SMITH, beloved son of late European Walker and Oscar Smith, Sr., was born on January 11, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. Raised in East Baltimore, Steve was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. Steve was an All-American football and basketball player at Northern High where he graduated in 1972. He continued his education at the University of Maryland at College Park and graduated with a Bachelor in Science Degree in 1976 majoring in Business Administration. Steve worked for Kraft Foods North American for over 21 years and received numerous sales awards. He started as a Sale Representative and ascended to the position of District Sales Manager of the US Pizza Division until his illness. Steve was most proud of his work in the area of mentoring young students in which he was recognized by his company with the Frank C. Carr Inroads Award. he was a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He leaves to mourn with his precious memories a faithful and devoted wife, Patricia W. Smith, a son, Steven Smith and a host of family and friends. Friends may call at the Joseph L. Russ Funeral Home, P.A., 2222 W. North Ave. on Wednesday from 3 to 8 P.M. Family hour Thursday 10 A.M. with funeral services to begin at 11 A.M. at St. John AME Church, 718 N. Carrollton Ave. Interment at Arbutus Memorial Park.
