All-anne Arundel County

March 22, 2006

Kristie Watkins

Old Mill

The 5-foot-8 senior's versatile play led the Patriots to a 20-5 mark and a spot in the county championship game.

Seeing time at guard and forward, the Temple-bound Watkins had a fine all-around game that included 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per game this season.

A three-year starter and four-year varsity payer, Watkins finished her career with 1,071 points.

Linda Kilpatrick

Kilpatrick's 29th season at Southern brought another milestone - her 400th career win, which she got in a 40-39 victory over Severna Park on Jan. 27 - and a 12th appearance in the state tournament, as the Bulldogs posted a 16-7 mark.

With a good blend of experience on the inside and talented underclassmen at the perimeter, Southern played its best basketball down the stretch, reeling off six straight wins before losing in the Class 2A state semifinals to eventual state champion Middletown.
