Corrections And Clarifications

March 21, 2006

An article in yesterday's Maryland section misidentified Harford County Councilman Dion F. Guthrie. Also, the timetable for Baltimore County's comprehensive rezoning process was misstated. The process takes place every four years.

In yesterday's Police Blotter column, the wrong location was given for the arrest of Kevin L. Bales Jr. on a cocaine-possession charge. Bales was arrested in the 2800 block of Miles Ave.

An article in Sunday's editions about the disappearance of Tracey Leigh Tetso incorrectly reported that her grandmother, Rose Smith, had been divorced and remarried. Smith remarried after she was widowed.

An article in Sunday's editions about drinking water in the Jacksonville area of Baltimore County included an incomplete account of an attorney's description of carbon filtration systems for wells. Such systems are not typically recommended for use by people with compromised or undeveloped immune systems if the filtration systems do not include an ultraviolet light to reduce bacteria growth, said Mary V. Koch, a lawyer representing area residents in a class action lawsuit.

The Sun regrets the errors.
