Brandon Roy, Washington -- The Pacific-10 Player of the Year scored 21 points, including five during an 18-7 run that brought the Huskies back from a 53-42 second-half deficit.


P.J. Couisnard, Wichita State -- The sophomore guard, who entered the game shooting 33.3 percent from three-point range, went 4-for-4 from behind the arc to lead the Shockers to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 25 years.


Washington coach Lorenzo Romar -- "Brandon Roy's name has to be associated with winning. He has raised everyone's understanding and awareness of how good of a basketball player he is."
