WILLIAM B.C. ADDISON of Cedar Hill, Bowie, MD died at the age of 80 on March 16, 2006. He attended Virginia Episcopal School and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II in the Pacific Fleet. He was founder of Addison-Herring Real Estate in Upper Marlboro and was member and past president of the following clubs: South River Club, Southern Maryland Society and Vansville Farmers. Also, he was a member of the Baltimore Bachelors Cotillion and Sailing Club of the Chesapeake, served on the vestry of Holy Trinity Church and, served on the board of Prince Georges Federal Savings Bank for over 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Mary Johnson Addison and is survived by his seven children: William B.C. Addison, Jr. and wife Beverly, Deborah W. Addison Holland and husband Gill, Joseph Addison, II and wife Kim, Suzanne D. Addison Sheahan and husband S.P., Walter D. Addison, II and wife Cathy, Charles H.J. Addison and wife Amy and, Eleanor Bowie Addison Hickson and husband Whit; as well as his sister Katherine Addison Johnson; he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Addison, Jr. What he cherished and loved most in life were his family, his friends and his life long passion and appreciation of agriculture. He enjoyed sailing, hunting and a good game of cards. A service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 20th at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with interment to follow at Trinity Church Cemetery, Upper Marlboro, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johns Hopkins Hospital, 600 N. Wolf St., Baltimore, MD 21287 or, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 14111 Oak Grove Rd., Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
