Cartridge Technologies Inc., headquartered in Gaithersburg, acquired Professional Office Equipment, a Silver Spring-based firm that provides laser printer repair service and supplies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.


Capuco Consulting Services Inc. of Annapolis, which specializes in organizational development, team building and environmental education, has been certified as a women's business enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.


The St. Agnes Foundation awarded Ken and Paulette Bancroft its Caritas Award. Ken Bancroft retired in December as St. Agnes president and chief executive officer.

New contracts

Waterfront Technologies, a Baltimore-based brand marketing and information technology solutions provider, won a $3 million contract from the Department of Labor to overhaul Web applications and update online technologies for the Employment Training Administration's foreign labor certification division.


Rick Hoehn, formerly with Daft-McCune-Walker Inc., announced the opening of Hoehn Landscape Architecture LLC. The new firm will work with builders, architects, engineers and developers.

Downtown Baltimore Family Care opened a Weight Loss Center at 1147 S. Hanover St. in South Baltimore.
