New Hampshire drops Towson in OT

MOIRA TALBOT SCORED THE GAME — Moira Talbot scored the game- winner with 11 seconds left in overtime as New Hampshire upset No. 19 Towson, 14-13, yesterday at Unitas Stadium.

Becky Trumbro led the Tigers (3-2) with four goals and two assists. Katie Leland (Dulaney) had a game-high six goals, including the goal to send it into overtime, for the Wildcats (2-4).

Scoring streaks were the story in the second half. The Wildcats scored five unanswered goals to take a 12-7 lead with 15:49 left. Towson then scored six straight for a 13-12 lead.

Leland forced overtime with 1:15 left in regulation.

No. 13 Notre Dame 13, No. 11 Loyola 9 -- Despite a game-high three goals and an assist from Talia Shacklock, the Greyhounds fell to the Fighting Irish in Wellington, Fla. Notre Dame (7-0, 1-0 Big East) outscored the Greyhhounds 6-2 in the second half after the teams were tied at 7 at the half. Freshman keeper Alex Piraino had a career-high 11 saves for Loyola (3-3, 1-1). Carol Dixon stopped eight shots for Notre Dame. Kate McHarg and Emily Lawrence each added two goals. Taylor and Greene had one goal for Loyola.

Washington College 10, Stevens Tech 7 -- The Shorewomen (5-2) scored seven unanswered goals to defeat the Ducks (0-4) in West Palm Beach, Fla.
