Corrections and clarifications

March 17, 2006

Because of incorrect information provided by the Baltimore County police, an item in yesterday's Police Blotter misstated what was found in a loaf of raisin bread in a grocery store. A store quality-control manager discovered two straight pins -- not hypodermic needles -- that had been pushed into the loaf through the wrapping, according to county police.

An article in yesterday's Maryland section about proposed attendance boundaries for Windsor Mill Middle School stated that children from Dogwood and Winfield elementary schools would attend Windsor Mill. Under the proposal, some children at Randallstown Elementary School also would attend Windsor Mill Middle, Baltimore County school officials said.

An article in Sunday's Maryland section incorrectly stated whom Annapolis police send in to city bars for underage drinking stings. The police use underage cadets.

The Sun regrets the errors.
