Catcher Ryan Hubele made a nice play on a sacrifice bunt in the eighth, chasing down the ball on the left side and firing to first for the out. Jeff Conine pointed toward Hubele, who already was receiving a congratulatory tap on the chest from pitcher Jim Brower.

Kris Benson has been experimenting with three pitches this spring, altering the grip on his changeup and cutter, and using his curveball again after eliminating it last year. But he told reporters he's moving away from the curve again and concentrating more on the other two pitches.
