Lockheed Martin announced that Stephanie Hill, director of its Baltimore-based Maritime Systems & Sensors unit, was named alumni of the year at the Black Engineer of the Year conference in Baltimore last month.

Hilton honored Dalila Sosa, assistant general manager of its Hampton Inn & Suites Arundel Mills/BWI, with its Spirit of Pride award.

Banking and finance

The Columbia Bank appointed Angie Harcum vice president of cash management for the Howard County-based regional bank. She is responsible for cash processing, direct deposit, lockbox and remote deposit as well as sales and service for national accounts.

SunTrust Bank, Maryland named Kelly D. Wade-Porter, Laurel, and Darryl J. Wyles, Forestville, as assistant vice presidents within its SunTrust University.

Health care

Medicalliance Inc., medical marketing services subsidiary of Columbia MedCom Group, announced that Christina Hoffman joined the firm as vice president. She will direct client services, operations and financial performance for the Columbia company.

Hospitality/tourism

Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association appointed Jason Lusk as the regional convention sales manager for Washington and Northern Virginia. He is responsible for soliciting new convention and meetings business.

On the board

Proxy Aviation Systems Inc., based in Germantown, announced the appointment of Thomas A. Corcoran as chairman of its board of directors. He is the president of the management consulting company, Cocoran Enterprises LLC.

Sinai Hospital has named attorney Brian L. Moffet to a seat on the board of directors of the northwest Baltimore health care facility.

In the region

Plexus Consulting Group LLC has named Anna Caraveli as a senior adviser for the Washington management consulting firm.

Professional services

Mueller Associates selected Robert A. Marino as president of the Baltimore mechanical/electrical engineering firm.

Grotech Capital Group announced that Charles P. Cullen, Stephen M. Fredrick, Erik O. Morris and Joel J. Radtke were elevated to the position of principal in the Baltimore-based private equity firm.

Praix Engineering announced that James Stock, information and assurance technologies, and Quentin Smith, signal intelligence systems, were named as directors of the Annapolis Junction software and systems solutions firm.

Quality Associates Inc. announced that Greg Chalmers joined the Columbia-based provider of document management, imaging and archiving services and solutions as its business development executive.

FTI Consulting Inc. named Herb Cohen as managing director in its FTI Palladium Partners unit in Washington. The Baltimore-based company provides consulting and technology services.

Potomac Valley Brick and Supply Co. named Don Wasmunski as chief financial officer and Allen Carter as customer service manager for the Rockville-based masonry and block supply company.

Legal and insurance

Rifkin, Livingston, Levitan & Silver announced that Charles S. Fax has joined the Annapolis law firm as counsel and will practice from the firm's Greenbelt office.
