DOROTHY M. "GAIL" FITZPATRICK, 78, of Englewood, Florida passed away March 7, 2006 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. She was born July 1, 1927 in Providence, R.I. She was a graduate of St. Xavier;s Academy in Providence and of the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She was pianist and entertainer for 13 years under the professional name of "Gail King", performing throughout the eastern U.S. and Canada. She also taught music for 28 years in the Baltimore public school system. At retirement in 1988, she relocated from Severna Park, MD to Englewood, FL. She is survived by a sister, Louise A. Kilpeck of Charlestown, R.I.; nieces, Mary E. Penedo and Corrine Kilpeck both of Providence, R.I.; several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and Charlotte Ellis, her longtime friend and companion of Englewood. No service is planned at this time. Memorial donations may be sent to Peabody Conservatory, Scholarship Fund, Attn: Development Office, 1 East Mt.
