A 19-year-old Hampstead man has been charged with raping two 13-year-old middle school girls in separate incidents in 2004, according to documents filed in Carroll County District Court.

Richard Brandon Davis of the 4300 block of Royal Ave. was arrested Tuesday and charged with multiple counts of second-degree rape and sexual offense, including sexually abusing a minor, according to court documents. He was released from Carroll County Detention Center after posting $20,000 bond.

Davis is charged with raping one of the girls between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2004 while he lived with her family in Hampstead, according to court documents. He was 18 at the time.

In July, the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation Center started investigating after the girl told her mother and a counselor about having a sexual relationship with Davis. That investigation led to Davis being charged with having sexual intercourse with another 13-year-old between May and September 2004, according to the court documents.
