Stabbings -- Sidney Manley, 41, and John Harvey, 40, were walking across the parking lot of the Dollar Store in the 2000 block of Harford Road about 3 p.m. Wednesday when a man stepped from a green Toyota Camry, accused them of walking too slowly, pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed them in the head. The assailant drove off, and both victims were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.


Arson arrest -- Police entered a house in the 1100 block of Steiger Way in Armistead Gardens about 10 a.m. Wednesday and arrested resident Joshua Schlothauer, 21, on a warrant charging him with second-degree arson. The suspect - found by the officers lying fully clothed in a bathtub - is accused of setting fire to a 1994 Buick Century parked in the 400 block of Stefan Court in southeastern Baltimore County on March 4. He was being held yesterday at Central Booking and Intake Center.


Arrest -- Markie Elsey, 21, of the 5900 block of Glenkirk Road, was arrested Wednesday by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with rape. Elsey is accused of attacking a woman in the first block of N. Bethel St. on Jan. 19. He was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Robbery -- A 47-year-old man was talking on his cellular phone in the 900 block of E. Fayette St. about 10 a.m. Wednesday when two men pushed him against a mail box and took the phone.

Robbery -- A 24-year-old man was walking behind a restaurant in the 800 block of Plowman St. about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a man armed with a knife cut him on the neck and robbed him of his wallet containing $5. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Stolen vehicle -- A beige 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with tags 645M200 was stolen Wednesday in the 100 block of S. Patterson Park Ave.

Burglary -- Hand and power tools, a generator, two air jacks and an air compressor - all valued at nearly $4,200 - were stolen between Tuesday night and early Wednesday from a storage shed at Chesapeake Maintenance in the 2300 block of Cleveland Ave.

Burglary -- Seafood and meat valued at more than $2,000 were stolen Tuesday night or Wednesday morning from El Trovador Restaurant in the 300 block of S. Broadway by someone who entered through the front door.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Armed robbery -- Two men, one with a knife, robbed a 25-year-old man of his jacket in the first block of Serpens Court about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The jacket was later recovered.

North Point

Burglary -- A laptop computer, 50 digital video discs and a camcorder - all valued at nearly $4,000 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Wise Ave.

Theft/arrest -- A 32-year-old resident of the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway was arrested Wednesday evening when she attempted to leave Sears at Eastpoint Mall without paying for several pieces of clothing valued at $147.
