EVELYN ANITA TENNYSON, 87 of Salisbury, MD, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born in Baltimore, in 1918, she attended Shrine of Little Flower School, Seton High School and Mercy School of Nursing. She earned her masters degree in Nursing Administration from St. John's University at Syracuse. Lieutenant Commander was the rank she achieved in her Navy career. The Navy gave Evelyn the enjoyment of travel, with memories of Hawaii and Japan especially. Although she had friends across the country, Baltimore was her home and her friends at Oak Crest especially dear. Evelyn was a long time volunteer at Wyman Park Hospital. Even though she lived life of quiet anoninimity, she touched many lives in her own special way. She is survived by her devoted brother Bernard, her sister-in-law Anne whom she most appreciated, and her nieces and nephews whom she considered a fun bunch, Valerie and George, Danielle and Matt, Nick and Tasha and Cameron, Elisabeth, Bob and Mary Jane, Steven, Kate, Thom and Cathy, Shana, Bobby, Janet and Cecil, Shirley, Devon and David. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Matthews Catholic Church, in Baltimore. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to St. Matthews Catholic Church, 5401 Loch Raven Blvd., Baltimore, Maryland 21839.
