Road show release party

The lowdown -- The Swing States Road Show, a politically active group composed of several WAMMIE Award-winning instrumentalists, will play the Cat's Eye Pub in Fells Point on Tuesday. The concert will celebrate the release of the group's latest album, Housecleaning.

ST. PATRICK'S BENEFIT AT LOYOLA

The lowdown -- Bring in St. Patty's Day with a bang. Reitz Arena will hold a St. Patrick's Day-themed benefit for the Caroline Center, a program that trains underemployed and unemployed women for job opportunities. Included will be performances by St. Veronica's Steel Band and Rossnareen.

If you go -- The benefit is 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday at Reitz Arena at Loyola College, 4501 N. Charles St. Tickets include food, beer, wine and entertainment and are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. For tickets or more information, call 410-563-1303.

The Rogers Sisters

The lowdown -- Hailing from Brooklyn, the Rogers Sisters name such far-ranging musical acts as Led Zeppelin and Tina Turner as their influences. The trio (which actually includes a male) will bring its mix of rock and dance music to the Ottobar tomorrow.
