On Friday night, Calvin Amos, 52, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault in the shooting of Joseph Schlick, 25. Howard County: Columbia

Restaurant worker accused in injury

Howard County police arrested a Lone Star Steakhouse employee yesterday after they said he tried to stab a fellow worker in the restaurant and ran away. Charges had not been filed last night against the 28-year-old suspect from Owings Mills. Police said the incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. at the restaurant on Centre Park Drive in Columbia when one worker grabbed a steak knife and "jabbed toward the victim's face," causing a minor injury to an eyelid. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
