Filming of TV show could cause delays

Baltimore transportation officials are warning motorists of possible delays today on North Charles Street between Wyndhurst Avenue and Northern Parkway to accommodate filming for a television show at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. Officials said the 5200 block of N. Charles St. will be open, but to expect intermittent closures from 8 a.m. to noon. Detours will take motorists onto Roland Avenue or York Road.

Maryland: Food bank

Campaign is set to begin Saturday

The Maryland Food Bank will host its 20th Harvest for the Hungry food drive from Saturday to March 11, during which time residents are encouraged to place bags of nonperishable food by their mailboxes for pickup by U.S. Postal Service employees or Boy and Girl Scouts. Bags of all colors OK for recycling

Baltimore Department of Public Works officials are reminding residents that they don't need to use plastic blue bags to put out bottles, jars and cans for recycling. Any other colored bags or bins may be used. For information on the city's recycling, or to find recycling days, check the Department of Public Works calendar or call 311.
