Robert C. Davis, 67, buyer for aerospace contractor

Robert Colin Davis, a retired buyer for a Beltsville aerospace contractor and sports fan, died of cancer Feb. 23 at his Columbia home. He was 67.

Mr. Davis was born in Washington and raised in Lexington Park. After graduating from Great Mills High School in 1958, he joined the Army and served two years in the Supply Corps.

Until retiring last month on a medical disability, he had worked for Orbital Sciences Corp. for 15 years.

Earlier, he had been a buyer for Pfizer Inc. and Atlantic Research Corp.

A Columbia resident for 28 years, he was an avid Orioles, Ravens and Colts fan, and enjoyed landscape photography and gardening.

A funeral Mass was offered Tuesday at St. Mary of the Mill Roman Catholic Church in Laurel.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Linda Dishmon; a son, Bruce Philip Davis of Great Neck, N.Y.; a daughter, Amy Davis Kisloski of Ellicott City; a brother, John Andrew Davis of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Phyllis Davis Leighton and Marjory Davis Holcomb, both of California, St. Mary's County; and four grandchildren.
