JAMES M. GROVES, 82 of Dundalk, MD/Ocean Pines, MD died February 28, 2006 at his home in Ocean Pines. Mr. Groves was a World War II and Korean War Veteran and retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer after 42 years of service. Mr. Groves served in the United States Army Air Force and the United Air Force for 23 years and the United States Army for an additional 19 years. He was a life member of Patapsco Masonic Lodge 183, a life member of American Legion Post 38 and a life member of the Reserve Officers Association. Mr. Groves was especially proud of being a founding member of the American Air museum located in Duxford, England. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Elizabeth "Betty" Groves, (nee Stone) of Ocean Pines; three sons James L. Groves and his wife Mary Beth of Baltimore, David J. Groves of San Francisco, CA and Joseph A. Groves and his wife Nancy of Ocean Pines; three grandsons, Gregory and Benjamin Groves of Ocean Pines and James Groves of Baltimore, MD. Visitation will be at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin on Friday, where friends may call from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. There will also be visitation on Monday at Connelly Funeral Home in Baltimore, where friends may call from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Connelly Funeral Home in Baltimore. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Air Museum in Duxford, England, P.O. Box 97055, Washington, DC 20090-7055. Arrangements are being handled by Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin and Connelly Funeral Home in Baltimore.
