M&T Bank announced the appointments of Noel Carroll to senior vice president and regional sales manager for the bank's Baltimore/Western region and Donna Marie Kochanski as a vice president in its Mid-Atlantic region.


Maryland Institute College of Art appointed Andrea Dixon as assistant director of exhibitions for the visual arts college.

Health care

MedImmune Inc. named R. Michael Smullen as senior vice president of sales. He is responsible for sales operations, trade and distribution, managed care and national accounts as well as sales training for the Gaithersburg-based company.

Hodes, Ulman, Pessin & Katz announced that Vasilios Peros joined the Towson law firm as head of its technology and intellectual property group.

Bowie & Jenson LLC named Jay G. Merwin Jr. a principal and Neil J. Ruther as counsel at the Towson-based law firm.


Paul Reed Smith Guitars Ltd. appointed Rebecca Eaddy as director of sales and marketing for the Stevensville-based international musical instrument manufacturer.


WCTR Broadcasting LLC appointed Kenneth L. Collins as station manager at WCTR-AM 1530, for the Chestertown-based broadcasting company. He is responsible for daily operations, marketing and sales activities for the station.


Associated Black Charities announced the appointment of Carlton G. Epps Sr. as chief financial officer. He will manage the locally based charity's fiscal and administrative operations.

Live Baltimore Home Center announced the election of Jon Laria, a partner at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, as president of its board of directors.

Innovative Biosensors Inc, a developer of rapid detection tests for pathogens, announced that Phil Samper was named to the College Park firm's board of directors.

Professional services

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP named William S. Corey Jr. as managing partner of the accounting firm's Baltimore office.

Hitachi Consulting announced the appointment of Adam Coonin as vice president of the Bethesda office of the business and information technology consulting firm.

Proxy Aviation Systems, headquartered in Germantown, appointed Robert Chedister (retired major general, U.S. Air Force) as vice president of operations. Formerly the program executive officer for weapons, USAF, he is now responsible for the manufacture, final integration and test operations of the firm's unmanned aircraft systems.

Harmon Inc. announced that Eric C. Rock joined the Baltimore-based specialty contractor as a project coordinator.


The Black Engineers Conference has presented the Black Engineer of the Year: Modern-day Technology Leader awards to Stacie R. Clemmons, an associate chemist, and Sherry A. Slater, a researcher. Both are employed at the Baltimore Research & Development Center of the Lyondell Chemical Co.
