Baltimore

Central

Arrest -- Marcus Bell, 22, was arrested at his home in the 1800 block of W. Lexington St. about 5:30 a.m. yesterday by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Bell is accused of shooting Craig Bigger, 49, about 1 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 1900 block of McCulloh St. Bell was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Southwestern

Drug arrests -- Three men from New York state were arrested Monday night and charged with possession of marijuana after the car in which they were traveling on southbound Interstate 95 was stopped for speeding near Caton Avenue by a Maryland Transportation Authority police officer. An odor of burning marijuana from the 2004 Jeep prompted a search of the vehicle that turned up nearly 3 ounces of the illegal substance, police said. Taken to Central Booking and Intake Center were the driver, Jon P. Luhmann, 18, and Stephen R. Nemeroff, 20, both of Melville, N.Y., and Brett N. Kestenbaum, 20, of Plainview, N.Y.

Northeastern

Arrest -- Police officers were in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road about 8:30 p.m. Monday when they noticed a man urinating near a public building. When police were about to issue him a citation, he tried to run but was caught. A search of the man turned up a .40-caliber handgun, police said. Charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and urinating in public was Uriel Johnson, 24, of the 1600 block of Woodbourne Ave.

Southeastern

Armed robbery -- Police were seeking four men who robbed a driver for Baltimore Taxi Cab of his cell phone and $35 about 12:30 a.m. Monday. After picking up the men at a convenience store at Fayette Street and Highland Avenue, the driver was directed to the 1500 block of Charlotte Ave. near Baltimore Highlands, where one of the passengers pulled a handgun.

Baltimore County

Essex

Robbery -- A woman armed with a handgun entered Casa Luna Pizzeria Restaurant in the first block of Eastern Blvd. about 9:40 p.m. Saturday and ordered an employee to give her an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. An accomplice drove her away in a blue Chevrolet.

White Marsh

Robbery -- A woman who implied that she had a weapon robbed the Hollywood Tan tanning salon in the 8900 block of Belair Road about 7:30 p.m. Monday, ordering an employee at the counter to give her money. She fled with an undisclosed sum.

Towson

Robbery -- A gunman wearing an Army field jacket robbed an Exxon station in the 800 block of Goucher Blvd. of more than $100 about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Pikesville

Burglary -- Winand Elementary School in the 8300 block of Scotts Level Road was broken into over the weekend through a door. At least two classrooms were ransacked, and a fire extinguisher was discharged.

Robbery -- An apparently unarmed man entered a Rite Aid store in the 7000 block of Liberty Road about 6:30 p.m. Monday and forced an employee to give him an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register.
