STATS -- Wilson, who is only a third-year wrestler, is a two-time Baltimore City tournament champion with a 70-10 career record. The 112-pounder junior takes a 20-3 record into this weekend's Class 4A-3A state tournament, after having finished fourth at the regionals a year after having been runner-up. Wilson went 25-3 last season at 103 pounds, including 2-2 at the state tournament.

SIDELINES -- An honor roll student, Wilson has not missed a day of school or practice since his freshman year, when he went 25-4 as a first-year wrestler. Wilson has had a pet ball python for two years and a husky named Misty. He is adept at working on cars and has played football since he was 6.
