Outlook

County champion North Carroll will look to win in Class 4A-3A after qualifying 10 wrestlers for the tournament, including regional champions Jeremy Seipp (103 pounds), Josh Traynor (112), Tom Goretsas (125), Tyler Macleod (140), Zach Forbes (145) and Nathan Shaffer (215). In Class 2A-1A, Liberty qualified five, and South Carroll and Winters Mill qualified four each. South Carroll took fourth at last year's meet.

Outlook

Last year, Patterson's 215-pound Deshawn Barrett became the second city wrestler to win a state title. His accomplishment, part of a 42-0 national championship season that included 34 pins, came six years after Poly heavyweight Dennis Scott became the first. Lamone Wilson (112) of Mervo and Sammy Johnson (140) of Douglass look to join Scott and Barrett.

Outlook

Owings Mills, under 23rd-year coach Guy Pritzker, pursues its fourth straight 2A-1A tournament crown and its Maryland-record eighth overall. Pritzker's Ben McCree (160 pounds) and Tony Mack (130) were second and third, respectively, at last year's states. Hereford's Josh Asper (145) looks to win a second straight state title, and Parkville's Razzaq Muhammad (189) pursues his first.
