Unity by the Bay sets speaker, music

Unity by the Bay will have a speaker and musician Sunday at 836 Ritchie Highway, Suite 18, Severna Park. Mahala Connally will speak on "The Alchemy of Life" and Lea Morris will provide music. Services start at 10:30 a.m. Continuing events include: Silent Unity Prayer Time at noon, Monday through Thursday; Meditation from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays; and A Course in Miracles from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays. Good Shepherd to hold bingo

Blast Bingo Blast is being held by the Church of the Good Shepherd at 2 p.m. Sunday at 1451 Furnace Ave., Glen Burnie.

A roast beef platter, coffee, sodas and cards are included for a donation of $20.

German group to meet in Odenton

Evangelical Lutheran Church of Odenton will host the monthly meeting of the Christian German American Women's Group of Maryland at noon Monday in the fellowship hall.

This meeting will provide women with the opportunity to worship and socialize in German. The service will be led by Irene Kucholik followed by a pot luck dinner.

Redeemer to hold pancake supper

There will be an all-you-can-eat pancake supper and game night held by the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The church is at 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie. The supper will be sponsored by the Women of the ELCA and the proceeds will be given to the North County Emergency Outreach Network. The cost is $4 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children younger than 5.

Christian Scientists to discuss healing

The Christian Science Society will hold its monthly meeting at noon and 8 p.m. Wednesday at 101 First Ave. S.E., Glen Burnie. The focus will be on examining a spiritual approach to health and healing. 410-766-9390 or 410-242-5014.

Church to offer prosperity course

There will be a prosperity course at 7 p.m. starting March 8 at Unity by the Bay, 836 Ritchie Highway, Suite 18, Severna Park. This is a 12-week course that meets Wednesdays and will be lead by Mahala Connally and Bill Finagin. The class will be followed by a 12-tape series produced by Stretton Smith. Prayer breakfast set for March 8

GFWC Women's Club of Linthicum Heights will hold its annual Prayer Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. March 8 at Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, 200 School Lane, Linthicum. The Rev. James Kirk will be the guest speaker. The proceeds from this event will be given to three area homeless shelters. Reservations are required, and the cost is $10. Information: 410-636-7325

St. Athanasius dinner is March 12

The events committee of St. Athanasius Catholic Church will sponsor a buffet dinner from noon until 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 12 at the rectory, 4708 Prudence St., Brooklyn.

The cost is $14 for adults, $5 for ages 7 to 12, and free for children younger than 6. The cost for carryout is $14.

St. Andrew's to hold indoor yard sale

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly indoor yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Spaces cost $10 for a 10-by-10-foot space, and vendors must provide their own tables. Information: 410-269-7671.
