DATE MOVIE

Rating -- PG-13.

What it's about -- Fat girl is remade thin and tries to hook up with her Prince Charming, encountering many, many movie spoofs along the way.

The Kid Attractor Factor -- Raunchy, crude, adolescent humor.

Good lessons/bad lessons -- The guy who likes you when you're chubby is of more substance than fellows who hit on you after you've had your extreme makeover.

Violence -- Slapstick.

Language -- A bit of profanity. OK, a lot.

Sex -- Continuous crude and sexual humor.

Drugs -- Not really.

Parents advisory -- Their older friends probably warned them off this dog last weekend, but just in case, it's not really for 12-and-unders.

RUNNING SCARED

Rating -- R for pervasive strong brutal violence and language, sexuality and drug content.

What it's about -- A mob flunky fails to dispose of a murder weapon, and spends one manic night trying to save his skin by recovering it.

The Kid Attractor Factor -- Hunk du jour Paul Walker is the lead.

Good lessons/bad lessons -- Never hide guns where kids can find them, never expect a gun to solve your problems, and don't jump in strangers' cars. Ever.

Violence -- Almost nonstop.

Language -- Pretty darned profane.

Sex -- Bare-bottoms and thongs.

Drugs -- Yup.

Parents advisory -- Operatic violence and amorality in this epic are not for 17-and-unders, no matter how much they want to see this Pulp Fiction for a new generation.
