Roslyn Brown joins Abrakadoodle

Roslyn Brown of Kings Contrivance has joined the franchise network of Abrakadoodle, an art education program for children ages 2 to 12.

Most recently director of application development for Sylvan Learning Centers in Baltimore, Brown will offer classes at Amherst House in Kings Contrivance, the Meeting Room in River Hill Village Center and in North Laurel and elsewhere.

She plans to donate a monthly Abrakadoodle class to residents at Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center in Columbia.

Austin appointed to Heart Assn. board

Annie L. Geiermann, senior vice president and director of the business banking group, Citizens National Bank, has announced that Jennifer Austin, vice president, has been appointed as a member of the Howard County board of directors of the American Heart Association.

Austin, who works for Citizens National Bank in Ellicott City, is responsible for serving the banking needs of Howard County business customers.
