Expo today offers aid in paying energy bills

People seeking assistance with their energy bills can attend the Baltimore City Energy Assistance Expo today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries, 6000 Radecke Ave.

Applicants must have an existing Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. account or be in the process of applying for an account, and they are asked to bring photo identification; proof of income for the past 30 days for all household members; proof of residence (rent book, lease, mortgage); Social Security cards for all household members; and BGE and/or oil bills.

Social services and charitable and community programs also are expected to have representatives at the event, according to BGE officials.
