The Carroll County Farm Museum has announced the 2006 Maryland Wine Festival poster design contest.
The winning design will be reproduced on posters, T-shirts, brochures and other promotional materials for the Wine Festival, to be held Sept. 16-17 at the farm museum.
The winning artist will receive a $1,000 cash award. Five honorable mentions will be chosen.
Any two-dimensional medium is acceptable, including painting, drawing, collage, photography and computer-generated design. Artists must be 21 or older and Maryland residents.
Deadline for applications and original designs is 3 p.m. March 10. Applications, with complete contest rules and design requirements, are available from the Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 S. Center St., Westminster 21157.
