Sport Wrestling

David Miller, Archbishop Curley

BOYS

STATS -- The 135-pound senior won 26 of his first 37 matches - with 18 pins - over a difficult schedule. After missing all but the season-opening tournament with a broken right leg last season, Miller has returned as a team captain for the No. 3 Friars and has placed fifth or higher in every tournament Curley has entered.

SIDELINES -- A B student, Miller is the younger brother of 2002 Curley graduate Rob Miller and 2005 graduate Danny Miller, each of whom placed second at the private schools state tournament. Dairy farming with his parents, Fred and Debbie, is the only thing the White Hall resident has done longer than he has wrestled, which he began in first grade. In college, David likely will major in restaurant management.
