Jazz violinist Leroy Jenkins has played on the leading edge of avant-garde music more than 40 years. He's still out there freely improvising on the outer frontiers of music.

Widely regarded as the most significant violinist of the modern era in jazz, he plays with pianist Myra Melford at a two-set Black History Month concert tonight at An Die Musik on North Charles Street.
