'MURDER' AT CENTER STAGE
The Murder of Isaac, Israeli Motti Lerner's play about the 1995 assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, makes its American and English language debuts at Center Stage's Head Theater beginning tomorrow. The play, which has never been produced in Israel, places the action in a hospital where patients with post-traumatic-stress disorder stage a re-enactment of the murder as part of their therapy.
Irene Lewis directs a cast headed by Broadway actors David Margulies in the role of the patient who portrays the prime minister; Mia Dillon, as the prime minister's wife; and Olek Krupa, as the leader of the opposition. The cast also includes Jeffrey Ware and Gordon Joseph Weiss, both of whom appeared in Lewis' 2001 production of The Investigation, and Israeli-born actors Charlotte Cohn and Tzahi Moskovitz. As part of the theater's community outreach programs, presented in partnership with the Baltimore Jewish Council, most performances will be followed by a dialogue led by Center Stage staffers, and the theater is also offering a discussion series.

UP AND AWAY
She was brave, daring and ambitious. And in 1937, she was going to be the first woman to fly around the world -- a staggering 29,000-mile journey. And while Amelia Earhart didn't quite realize her dreams (she was about 7,000 miles shy), it was not for lack of heart.
The story of Earhart and what fueled her risky and groundbreaking flight will be told in the new theatrical performance Mara Neimanis' Air Heart, running today through Saturday at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson.
Resident artist Mara Neimanis wrote and stars in the one-woman aerial performance. Neimanis, as Earhart, will be perched atop a 12-foot-tall, rotating plane sculpture, made of steel by fellow resident artist Laura Shults.
After each night's performance, there will be a discussion with Neimanis.
