Harford County police arrested an Edgewood man they believe may be responsible for armed robberies at 11 convenience stores in the past month.

Keith Anthony Jones, 30, of the 1400 block of Harford Square Drive was charged with robbing a Joppatowne Royal Farms store and an Abingdon 7-Eleven early yesterday morning, said Robert B. Thomas, a spokesman with the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Thomas said Jones also matches the description of a suspect in nine other convenience store robberies in the past month.

Minutes after the Royal Farms was robbed yesterday, a sheriff's deputy began following a suspicious vehicle. After the suspect escaped on foot into woods, police traced the car to an Edgewood home, where deputies observed a woman leave and pick up a man, Thomas said.
