Brittany Mallory hit a 34-foot three-pointer at the buzzer as the host No. 5 McDonogh girls basketball team escaped with a 50-47 victory over No. 11 Roland Park yesterday in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland game.
Mallory scored 17 of her 22 points in the second half for the Eagles (14-4, 9-3 A Conference). The Reds fell to 12-5, 8-4 in the conference.
