Kenneth Vincent Clarke Sr., a retired mechanic and outdoorsman, died of a heart attack Jan. 3 at a Dundalk restaurant. He was 67.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Essex, he was a graduate of Baltimore County public schools.
The longtime Dundalk resident had worked as a heavy-equipment mechanic at Bethlehem Steel Corp.'s Sparrows Point plant for 30 years until retiring in 2000.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Mr. Clarke was a member of a local outdoorsmen's club, where he was an accomplished trap shooter and enjoyed teaching adults and children in the organization's firearms safety program.
He was a member and usher at Edgemere Bible Church, and volunteered with the church's Trinity Missions Community Outreach helping the needy.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 22 at the church, 3011 Ross Ave.
Mr. Clarke is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Elizabeth D'Andrea; a brother, Franklin Clarke of Clarksville; a sister, Delores Wagner of Baltimore; two stepsons, Daniel Harlan of Dundalk and Michael Harlan of Lancaster, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Carmel Stabley of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
