Ladew schedules crafts and stories

Education Notes Ladew Topiary Gardens is offering "Nature Stories & Crafts" for children's entertainment and education throughout the winter season.

The second session of the series, "Wake Up, Groundhog," will be presented at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

Admission for one child age 2 to 4 and one adult is $5 for each session. Additional adults must pay regular admission. Participants should bring small blankets to sit on.

Trinity school sets open house

Trinity Lutheran School and Child Care Center will hold an open house from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 31.

Registration for the 2006-2007 school year as well as its summer program will be accepted at this time.

School to hold basket bingo Feb. 25

Havre de Grace High School's James R. Harris Stadium Committee will hold a Longaberger basket bingo at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Havre de Grace Community Center.

The committee is seeking assistance in buying and filling 23 baskets to be used as prizes for the fundraiser.

Donations of food, soda and paper products also are being sought.

Tickets are $10, and $5 for extra cards.
