JOHN STEVEN "STEVE" KNAPIK, III, Harrisburg, age 60, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2005 in Harrisburg, following a valiant battle with melanoma. He was born September 2, 1945 in Baltimore, son of the late John Steven Knapik Jr. and Yvonne Witte Knapik and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Dulaney Valley High School in Lutherville, MD and the Virginia Polytechnical Institute, and was an architect with the Pennsylvania State Department of General Services. He was a member of the General Church of the New Jerusalem, Harrisburg. Surviving are his three sisters Elizabeth K. "Betsy" Davidson, Falls Church, VA, Barbara J. Knapik, Fairfax, VA and Patricia A. Vetter, Rock Hall, MD and one nephew, Paul Vetter, Dillsburg. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, 17110. Zimmerman Auer Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements. LIBONATE (Nee Wiherle); beloved wife of the late Michael Anthony Libonate, Sr.; devoted mother of Michael, Jr., Anthony, Matthew, Daniel and Lewis Libonate; loving grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Matthew Wiherle and the late Winnifred Radtke, Raynold and Lewis Wiherle. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at St. Francis de Sales Church, Abingdon, 10 A.M. Interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. LOFTICE (nee Costin); beloved wife of the late Harry Lee Loftice; loving mother of J. Cameron Grimes, Costin E. Grimes, Harry J. Thomas Jr. and the late Hope Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church, at 12 Noon. Interment of cremated remains will be held at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
