Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Southern District

Shooting -- A 17-year-old boy was standing in the front room of a house in the 300 block of S. Bruce St. about 11 p.m. Monday when someone fired several shots through the front door, hitting the boy at least once in the left side of his face. The victim was reported in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Robbery -- Two men, one armed with a large-caliber handgun, entered Riley's Bar in the first block of E. Cross St. shortly before midnight Monday and forced an employee to the third floor. There, the employee was ordered to open a safe and gave the pair an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled.

Central

Theft from vehicle -- Someone broke a window Monday night in a 2001 Mercury Grand Prix parked in the 600 block of E. Pratt St. and stole a handicapped permit.

Robbery/arrest -- A 19-year-old woman was walking in the 100 block of N. Liberty St. about 1:30 a.m. yesterday when a man armed with a knife knocked her to the ground and robbed her of $10. A short time later, police arrested Brandon W. Rivers, 18, of the 3700 block of Marmon Ave. and charged him with assault and armed robbery in the case. Rivers was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Assault -- A man, 32, was sitting in a bar in the 400 block of Park Ave. when he became involved in an argument with a man he knew. As the argurment grew more intense, the other man struck the victim in the head and neck and fled.

Southeastern

Shootings -- A man was shot in the head in the 400 block of N. Kenwood Ave. about 7:40 p.m. yesterday and was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. About the same time, a man was shot at North Glover and McElderry streets and was also taken to Hopkins. His condition was not known. Details of the shootings were not available.

Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 400 block of S. Eden St. through a kitchen window during the weekend and stole two laptop computers.

Burglary -- A laptop computer, several CDs and a radio - all valued at nearly $2,100 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 500 block of S. Milton Ave. by someone who entered through a side window.

Baltimore County

Parkville District

Robbery -- A boy, 14, was standing outside a store at Parkville Shopping Center in the 7700 block of Harford Road about 4:45 p.m. Monday when another teenage male he knew approached and they shook hands. The other male then snatched a bag containing two cap guns, candy and video game accessories and fled. The property was valued at nearly $50.

Cockeysville

Burglary -- Household items of unknown value were stolen between Sept. 14 and Dec. 22 from a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the first block of Nutmeg Knoll Court.

Wilkens

Burglary -- A 50cc red all-terrain vehicle valued at $50 was stolen Monday from a shed in the rear yard of a house in the 100 block of 5th Ave.
