Sadly, WILLIAM A. DUPERREAULT died peacefully at the Castle point VA. Nursing Home Unit B-2 on December 20, 2005 surrounded by loving family and caring staff. The son of the late Mary Jane Neely and Adolphus Duperreault born August 15, 1920 along with his twin sister in Baltimore, Maryland. August 1945 he married Margaret Cooke at the Monroe Street Church in Baltimore MD. who passed away Sept. 1991 with whom he had four daughters-Margaret Fiorino, Ellicott City, MD. and Carol J Hasbrrouck, Highland, NY along with many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his only brother Maurice Duperreault of West Springfield, MA. He retired in the Security dept. of Westinghouse Aeronautics after many years he was a United States Marshall. Mr. Duperreault was a WWII veteran- he was in the 1st Infantry Division of the Army more Commonly known as the "Big Red 1" second to none. During his service time he fought in North Africa and the European Conflict. Captures by the Germans he was place in an Italian POW Camp. He received the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge and the French Protege Medal. he was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors and loved his family and those who were less fortunate. He was a brilliant man and spoke several languages. He will be deeply missed by those that knew him. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sutton Funeral Home, Highland, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at louden Park Cemetery, Baltimore, Md. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Castle Point VA Nursing Home Unit B-2, Beacon NY.
