Lighting strikes -- 6 p.m. / Head straight to Hampden for its annual "Miracle on 34th Street" display, where some 10,000 lights line the street. Visitors - by foot or by car - can enjoy the sounds of continuous music and glimpses at the awe-inspiring displays. Takes place in the 700 block of W. 34th St. in Hampden through Jan. 8. Hours are dusk to 11 weeknights, later on weekends and all night long tonight and on New Year's Eve. Visit christmasstreet.com.

Singles mingle --8 p.m. / Young Jewish professionals 22 and older can spend tonight strutting at the Harbor Hora dance party. Held at Rams Head Live, the event features music by DJ Barry Hart.
