Fort Worth Bowl

Houston (6-5) vs. Kansas (6-5)

Site -- Amon Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, Texas.

Time -- 8

TV -- ESPN

Line -- Kansas by 3

Key stats: -- Houston is 14th in to tal offense (456.5 ypg), was held un der 400 yards twice and gained at least 370 yards in each game. Kansas is 19th in total defense (308.6 ypg) and allowed only three opponents to rush for 100 yards.

Houston -- QB Kevin Kolb and WR Vincent Marshall are a potent pass-catch duo, and RBs Ryan Gilbert and Jackie Battle headline a strong ground attack.

Kansas -- The offense is rancid, ranking 103rd nationally. The Jay hawks have nine TD passes and 19 picks, so it's up to RBs Jon Cornish and Clark Green to provide the bulk of the offense.

The buzz -- Kansas' defense held up for most of the season, carrying more than its weight because of a bad offense. If KU can run at all to night, it will win because Houston is going to have problems moving the ball consistently.

The pick -- Kansas, 21-17.
