Seasonal concert

The lowdown -- It's not too late to find a concert of seasonal music, or some high-quality musicians to perform it. The Grammy-winning Washington Chorus, backed by organ, brass and percussion and joined by the H-B Woodlawn Chamber Singers, brings its annual holiday program to the Music Center at Strathmore tomorrow. The chorus, directed by Robert Shafer, will perform works by Bach, Mozart, Handel and others. The Chamber Singers will premiere a madrigal commissioned for the occasion. And there will be an audience sing-along, too.

If you go -- The concert is at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda. Tickets are $19 to $56. Call 202-342-6221 or 301-581-5100.

Monumental music

The lowdown -- For a complete break from Christmas music, check out the Monument Piano Trio, the excellent artists-in-residence at An die Musik. The trio -- violinist Igor Yuzefovich, assistant concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; Dariusz Skoraczewski, the BSO's assistant principal cellist; and pianist Michael Sheppard -- will perform Beethoven's Kakadu Variations. Each of the string players will also be featured in a sonata by Shostakovich; the musicians will be commemorating the extraordinary Russian composer's centennial throughout their 2005-2006 season.

If you go -- The concert is at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at An die Musik, 407 N. Charles St. Tickets are $12; $8 for students and seniors. Call 410-385-2638.
