Versatile Snowden lifts Seton Keough

Haliena Snowden's senior leadership, along with 18 points and 16 rebounds, led No. 2 Seton Keough to victories over No. 3 Towson Catholic and then-No. 2 McDonogh last week in Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference action.

The 6-foot forward scored 11 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had five steals in a 45-42 win over Towson Catholic. She closed the game with a three-point play to seal the victory. Friday night, she had seven points and seven rebounds in a 41-39 win at McDonogh. She hit two free throws grabbed three rebounds and had a block in a key stretch early in the fourth quarter. Snowden also played terrific defense, allowing only two points to the players she covered in the two games.

Snowden, who has not made a college commitment, averages 11 points, six rebounds and three steals. She carries a 3.6 grade-point average and is an Amateur Athletic Union veteran, playing with the Baltimore Cougars last summer.
