Man sentenced in heroin case

A 45-year-old Baltimore man was sentenced yesterday to more than 15 1/2 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute heroin in the city. According to the statement of facts presented when he pleaded guilty Sept. 28, William Mark Manns conspired with Bryant Warren, 34, and Germaine Vernon Wallace, 32, both of Baltimore, to distribute heroin in 2004 and this year. Warren pleaded guilty Dec. 9 to conspiracy to distribute heroin and faces a sentence of between 10 years and life in prison when he returns to court Feb. 27. Wallace pleaded guilty to the same charge Sept. 27 and was sentenced Dec. 9 to almost 22 years in prison.
