On December 9, 2005, at home, with a year long battle with cancer, DAWN THOMPSON, 49, of Arbutus, MD. Ms. Thompson was born January 17, 1956 in Glen Burnie, MD. She worked for Westinghouse and Northrop Grumman for 28 years. Dawn was a great fan of Frank Sinatra. She loved vacationing in Nags Head, NC with family members and friends. She loved to cook, read and playing Shuffle Board with friends at Center Court in Arbutus. She collected Penguins and loved taking photos of friends and family. Dawn worked her way through college at AACC and UMBC, earning a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems. Preceded in death by her father, Carl Francis Thompson, Jr.; children, Heidi Lynn Busick and Daniel Carl Ross Busick. She is survived by mother, Starling Richter; daughter, Heather Busick and granddaughter, Brandy Jones, all of Pasadena, MD; sisters, Carol Thompson, of Arbutus, Gail Weaver, of Linthicum and brother James Thompson, of Pasadena. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Samantha Knott, Sabrina Knott and Andrew Knott, of Glen Burnie, Trevor Thompson and Garrett Thompson, of Pasadena and one great-niece Lillian Mc Coy, of Linthicum. A Memorial Service will be held on December 21, 6:30 P.M. at The Unity By the Bay Church in Severna Park, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her granddaughters, Brandy Jones College Fund c/o Gail Weaver, 431 Twin Oaks Road, Linthicum, MD 21090.
