Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- Tyree White, 23, was arrested Tuesday as he sat on the front porch of a house in the 3000 block of Grantley Road by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. White is charged with shooting Tavon Antwan Granger, 20, of the 3600 block of Park Heights Ave., about 2 a.m. Aug. 17 in the 4100 block of Pall Mall Road near Loyola Southway.


Stolen -- A white 1994 Jeep Cherokee with tags 197M151 was stolen Wednesday in the 4000 block of Clarks Lane.


Robbery try/arrest -- The crew of a city police helicopter was helping ground units find a robbery suspect in Fells Point about 10 p.m. Wednesday when they saw the man at East Pratt and South Caroline streets. The man was arrested by ground units. Police said a man, 53, reported he was in the 200 block of S. Broadway when a man demanded his money and struck him in the face when he said he had none. Charged with assault and attempted unarmed robbery was Roger Emory, 39, of the 200 block of S. Broadway.


Burglary -- A 35-inch TV and a diamond ring were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2600 block of Ridgely St.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 800 block of E. Eager St. on Wednesday and stole $140 from a bedroom.


Cutting -- Two men were fighting in the 1500 block of N. Carey St. about 1 a.m. Wednesday when one cut the other on the right forearm with a knife. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released.

Baltimore County

North Point

Robbery -- A woman, 76, was walking in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a man in his late teens or early 20s knocked her down and stole her purse containing about $100. The man drove off in a green sport utility vehicle. The woman suffered a minor arm injury.

White Marsh

Burglary -- People broke into a truck in the first block of Back Drop Drive on Monday and removed 68 aluminum wall frames valued at $20,400. The theft was reported Tuesday.


Armed robbery -- A gunman entered the BP gas station in the first block of Carroll Island Road about 5 a.m. Wednesday and fled with about $20.


Stolen vehicle -- A gray, four-door 2004 Mitsubishi Galant with tags BLC 968 was stolen Wednesday in the 6900 block of Millbrook Park Drive.
