Roch Around The Clock

I believe that Sidney Ponson is making an earnest effort to stay sober and resurrect a once-promising career. I'm rooting for him. So are a lot of people who got to know him during his years with the Orioles. I'd like to think that he hasn't dug himself such a deep hole that he won't be able to pitch next season. I'm still convinced that he can win games if he lays off the beer and keeps his weight down. The Orioles thought the same thing. They just grew tired of waiting and of conduct that was embarrassing and detrimental to the organization. Who can blame them?

A sober and more mature Sidney will do wonders for his career, but it will leave reporters lacking in material.
