VETERANS ISSUES -- A town hall meeting on veterans issues will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MCVET Center, 301 N. High St. The meeting, organized by Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, will include information on how veterans can obtain job training.

TRAFFIC MEETING -- The Task Force on Traffic Capacity Across the Chesapeake Bay will hold its final meeting at 7 p.m. at Tidewater Inn, 101 E. Dover St., Easton. Topics will include steps to decide on a new crossing. 410-537-1016.


SCHOOL FACILITIES FORUM -- A citywide public forum to discuss construction, renovation and consolidation of Baltimore public schools over the next five years will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Edmondson High School, 501 Athol Ave. 410-396-8670.

KWANZAA PROGRAM -- A family Kwanzaa celebration will be presented by Charles Dugger at 6:30 p.m. in the African-American department of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, 400 Cathedral St. 410-396-5430 or


HOLIDAY MUSIC -- "Ringing in the Holidays," a part of the Lunch Under the Pipes Music Recital Series, will feature a musical performance at noon at the University of Maryland School of Law's Westminster Hall at Fayette and Greene streets. Admission is free. 410-706-2072


ART SHOW -- Columbia Association Art Center will present Singular Sensations, its holiday art show, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6100 Foreland Garth. The show will continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 19 to 22. 410-730-0075.


HOLIDAY SINGING -- A variety of choirs and singing groups will be performing holiday tunes from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hippodrome Theatre, 12 N. Eutaw St. Admission is free, and hot chocolate and cookies will be served free of charge. 410-727-7787

SANTA ON ICE -- "Skating with Santa" will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Baltimore's Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro Ice Rink, 200 S. Linwood Ave. Admission is $4, skate rental $2. 410-396-9392.


MUSEUM FAMILY DAY -- A Kwanzaa Family Day Celebration will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive. There will be a folktale performance at 2 p.m. and a belly dancing performance at 4 p.m. Tours of the African Heritage, American Expression exhibit will be at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Admission for Family Day events is free. 410-396-6314.
