Thompson - Allen

Amanda Marie Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Eugene Allen, of Acworth, GA, and Harris Dix Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Craig Thompson, of Ruxton, MD, were married on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church. Mr. Thompson completed the third generation of his family to be married in the same sanctuary. Maid of Honor was Stacy Copassaki. Bridesmaids were Amy Allen, Jennifer Capps (sister of the bride), Kelly Moseley, Nicoll and Laura Jacobson (sister of the groom). Best Man was Bradley Little. Groomsmen were Michael Bath, Charles Booth, Matthew Caione, Nicholas Leopardi, John Moran and Edward August Jacobson, Jr. (brother-in-law of the groom). Ushers were Christopher Berrier, Christopher Kakel and Christopher Mitchell. Harris Christian Jacobson and Isabel Bennett Jacobson, nephew and niece of the groom, also participated in the Scottish ceremony, which included kilts, bagpipes and traditional handfasting. After honeymooning in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Atlanta, GA. Miss Allen, a graduate of North Cobb High School, attended Kennesaw State University and is a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She is employed by Cox Communications and is continuing her education at KSU. Mr. Thompson, a graduate of St. Paul's School and Syracuse University, is Vice President, Business Development, National Accounts for a division of GE Financial. He will begin the Executive MBA program at Emory University in January.
