December 10, 2005|By GUS G. SENTEMENTES

Baltimore police confirmed the identity yesterday of a victim in a fatal double shooting and arson at a West Baltimore apartment last month. Police said that Michael E. Wright, 55, died in a fire that they believe was set by people who first shot him and his girlfriend, Thomasine Evans, 41. Wright was so badly burned in the Nov. 18 blaze that authorities needed to use dental records to identify him. Police are seeking information about a possible motive and suspects in the attack on the couple. Metro Crime Stoppers, at 866-7LOCKUP, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
