Mi-Khida Hankins scored 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and six steals to lead top-ranked St. Frances over No. 5 Seton Keough, 64-51, yesterday in its girls basketball season opener.

Danielle Parker contributed seven points and six rebounds for the host Panthers.

Down by 14 at the half, Seton Keough was able to pull no closer than 12 points.

B.J. Williams and Asya Bussie each had 14 points for the Gators as they fell to 1-1.

No. 2 McDonogh 69, Mount de Sales 45 -- Brittany Mallory scored 21 points and added eight rebounds and four assists to lead the visiting Eagles (1-1) over the Sailors.

No. 8 New Town 85, Dubois 20 -- Peju Awodipe had 37 points and Lindsey Wallace chipped in 13 as the Titans (3-1) romped past the host Panthers.

No. 9 River Hill 64, No. 10 Atholton 36 -- Keisha Eaddy led the host Hawks (1-0) over the Raiders (0-1) with 23 points and 10 steals.

No. 13 Saint Paul's 38, Bryn Mawr 33 -- Courtney Fields scored 15 points and the freshman pair of Jasmine Jacobs and Carissa Williams combined for another 15 as the host Crusaders (2-1) beat the Mawrtians. Darell Peterson had 23 points for Bryn Mawr.

No. 15 Roland Park 54, IND 37 -- Jasmine Barksdale (15) and Barbara Seaman (12) combined for 27 points to lead the Reds (3-0) past the host Indians (1-2).

Boys basketball

No. 1 Mount St. Joseph 62, Eastern Tech 32 -- Dino Gregory had 17 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks for the host Gaels as they stayed unbeaten (4-0). Dejuan Goodwin and Louis Birdsong combined for 22 points.

No. 2 Towson Catholic 65, Woodlawn 48 -- Malcolm Dulaney and Donte Greene each scored 18 points as the host Owls (3-1) rolled over the Warriors (0-1).

No. 12 Calvert Hall 64, Perry Hall 47 -- Braxton Dupree scored 26 points and had 12 rebounds to lead the Cardinals (3-1) over the host Gators. Devin Brown added 13 points.

No. 13 Old Mill 72, Bowling Brook 60 -- Rodney Stokes had a triple double (17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks) and Derek Harris had a double double (14 points and 12 rebounds) for the host Patriots (1-0).

National Christian 57, No. 10 Spalding 51 -- Derek Young scored 13 points to go with his five assists, but the Cavaliers (3-2) lost a five point advantage in the final minutes.

Centennial 52, Wilde Lake 51 -- John Dukes hit a three-pointer with a minute left in overtime to put the host Eagles (1-0) up for good.

Franklin 65, Western Tech 63 -- The host Indians (1-0) avoided triple overtime when Jesus Acosta hit a short jumper as time expired to beat the Wolverines (0-1). Franklin's Keith Curley led all scorers with 30 points.
